LADY CARNARVON’S BAKED EGGS

Lady Carnarvon, as the wife of the 8th Earl of Carnarvon, is the Countess of Carnarvon and chatelaine of Highclere Castle. Highclere Castle is known around the world, as the fictional Downton Abbey.

It is a fact of life, that recipes from aristocratic families, tend to be low carb. They were formulated many many years before Ancel Keys and his low fat cherrypicked studies. They would use the best ingredients, often from their own estates. Beef, pork, lamb, wild game, freshwater fish, eggs, cream and butter.
